Designer, Artisan, Video Editor…

Shannon Lythgoe graduated from Western Washington University with a Bachelor in Voice Performance, as well as from the Pacific Design Academy with a diploma in Graphic Design. Shannon has been involved both personally and professionally in the arts her entire adult life, as a performer, arts administrator, graphic artist, artisan, and more recently as a video editor. Working from her home in Nelson, British Columbia, Shannon fills most of her waking hours creating and promoting the visual and performing arts. 

With 17 years of professional experience as a graphic designer, Shannon Lythgoe offers her clients a wealth of experience from across the spectrum of visual arts. 

Shannon started off as a singer in the internationally-renowned Elektra Women’s Choir in 2011, and shortly thereafter took on the position as its Marketing Director and worked in that position until December 2023. After a few years, she also assumed the responsibility for all of the choir’s graphic design needs, and more recently has expanded her portfolio to include video editing for the choir’s extensive YouTube channel, which can be viewed here

Shannon currently works for the Kootenay Gallery of Art, History and Science in Castlegar, BC as the administrative assistant. She is also the Marketing Director for Cascade Peaks ChamberFest, which takes place annually at RockRidge Canyon, located in Princeton, BC

Artisan

Shannon is active as an artisan in the West Kootenay region of British Columbia, where she sells her unique jewelry and her line of art cards. In 2020, she launched her custom-designed caravan, called the Jewel Box, where she is a familiar site at farmer’s markets, festivals and events.
